The forward planning, and smooth running of your wedding is extremely important to us, as it is this attention to detail that will make your wedding day run to perfection, and without a hitch!

To this end, we have set out below an outline of the procedures and critical deadlines leading up to, and including the wedding day. Throughout the whole process we will of course be available to accommodate any requests you may have prior to your wedding.

The following information below will also enable you to organise your arrangements in your own country and fully understand the wedding procedures required to marry on Santorini Island.

BOOKING YOUR WEDDING

Stage 1
Upon confirmation from the client to proceed with the wedding, all
information available at that time will be confirmed by email and
will also include a quotation and a deposit invoice.
This deposit is non refundable.

Stage 2
On confirmation from the bank of the deposit being received, the
wedding date will be booked with the registrar. A receipt will be sent
back to the client via email acknowledging the deposit, and this will
be accompanied by; Confirmation of your wedding booking, a detailed
record of the necessary current Greek legal documentation requirements
and we shall advise the amount of the final payment and legal documents
due dates, which will be 6 weeks prior to arrival.

 

Stage 3

Wedding Extras

To save any disappointment, we request all additional extras are confirmed by the 31st March in the year of your wedding. At this stage we shall also request the following details: 

  • Departure and arrival date and time in Santorini
  • The name of the tour operator used - if applicable
  • The name and location of the resorts accommodation
  • Mobile phone contact numbers
    (All optional extras can be settled at your consultation meeting in resort)

Stage 4
When final payment is received (6 weeks prior to your arrival) notification will be given of the date and time of your consultation meeting. This meeting will be as soon as is practical and typically within 2 days of your arrival in Santorini, and the meeting will normally take up to 2 hours.

Please note: We recommend at least 3 days you are in resort prior to your wedding day

Your Arrival

As arranged we will meet with you for your consultation. This meeting will take approximately two hours and we will cover all aspects of your wedding day including a visit to your selected reception venue where you will be introduced to the owner and final arrangements will be dealt with including tasting of the wine!

We are of course on hand, for any last minute details you may have from this moment, up to the wedding day itself.

The Wedding Day

Topaz Wedding Package: We have 1 co-ordinators who will deal
with you directly, plus other staff allocated to carry out all necessary
behind the scenes functions and arrangements during the day.

The dedicated co-ordinator will make a brief early morning telephone
call to the bride or groom to establish whether there are any last
minute requests or concerns.

Your wedding co-ordinator will arrive approximately 30 minutes before
the ceremony awaiting the arrival of the Groom and Guests. She will
greet them and introduce the Groom and Best Man to the photographer
(if booked) and the registrar, who will then explain the procedure for
the wedding ceremony. The wedding co-ordinator will then meet the
bride at the ceremony location prior to the ceremony starting and
make sure everything is in place before the ceremony begins.

After your ceremony you will be escorted on to your reception venue
which will have already been checked and dressed as requested by
your co-ordinator.

seating of guests and cutting of the Wedding Cake.

The Ceremony: All ceremonies are conducted in Greek and English and
two witnesses are required which must be the minimum age of 13
(Passport is not required for witnesses)

 

After Your Wedding Day

Final Meeting: After your wedding your wedding co-ordinator will be
in touch to arrange a suitable day and time for your final meeting
which will be approximately 2 days after your wedding day.
If you have booked our photographer at this stage you will receive
your photography package as arranged.

Please note you must stay on the island at least one day after your wedding to obtain your marriage certificate.
